Our co-founder, Shaykh Anis, brings over two decades of experience in Islamic education, Quranic teaching, and religious leadership — ensuring every book, toy, and resource we create aligns with authentic Islamic principles.

📚 A Scholar with Deep Roots in Islamic Knowledge

Born in New York and raised in Houston, Texas, Shaykh Anis memorized the Qur’an at the age of 10 and has been leading Taraweeh prayers since 2002. His passion for sacred knowledge led him to pursue advanced Islamic education.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston, Shaykh Anis traveled to the Islamic University of Madinah, where he completed:

• A Diploma in Arabic Language

• A Bachelor’s degree in Fiqh & Usool (Islamic Law and Legal Theory) from the College of Shariah

• Certification as a chaplain from the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi)

• Multiple Ijazahs (traditional teaching licenses) in Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, and other sacred sciences from world-renowned scholars.

🕌 Community Leader and Educator

With years of experience teaching in both Malaysia and Houston, Shaykh Anis brings classical Islamic teachings to life in modern, accessible ways. He is currently the:

• President and Religious Director of Alief Islamic Center (Muhammadi Masjid)

• Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston, teaching Introduction to Islam to a diverse student body

He also serves as a trusted speaker and educator across the Houston Muslim community.
