A woodpecker is hammering away in Sumaya's backyard, and she worries it's hurting its head. So she gets to work inventing tools to protect it.
The Sumaya Solves It series follows Sumaya, a curious Somali American girl who loves science. Short chapters, full-color illustrations and everyday problems make it a great fit for new and growing readers, and a fun way for kids to see Muslim families like theirs in a story.
